Joely Kim Richardson (b. January 9, 1965) is an English actress, best known for her roles as Catherine Parr in the television show The Tudors and as Julia McNamara in the television show Nip/Tuck. She is known for portraying Queen Tatiana Ivashkov in the film adaptation of Vampire Academy.

Biography[]

Joely Kim Richardson was born in Marylebone, London.[1] She was born into the theatrical Redgrave family, which includes director Tony Richardson and actress Vanessa Redgrave. She is the granddaughter of actors Rachel Kempson, who is also known as Lady Redgrave, and Sir Michael Redgrave. Her sister is actress Natasha Richardson.[2]

She went to St Paul's Girls' School in Hammersmith, Harry Hopman Tennis School in Tampa, Florida, The Thacher School in Ojai, California, and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.[2]
